Pastoe EK preaching

I grew up in Kambuzuma, a high density residential area of Harare, after high school, I went into circular work but was just not satisfied. Before I even finished High school I was doing a lot of preaching in the church services. One day at the foundry where I was working, I got a visit from Pastor Douglas Darby, Deputy Principal at Africa For Christ Bible College who talked to me and asked if I would consider getting formal training at their college. I did not hesitate to say yes, but he asked that I think and pray about it first.

Soon enough I was registered and studying for the ministry. At that institution I got a qualification and a future wife Ivy, who was a year behind me in college.

I then went to Kwekwe in 1989 September, a small city 60km from Gweru, where I planted a church and Ivy joined me a year after we got married. 5 other churches were born during our stay in Kwekwe, Mbizo, Redcliff, Rutendo, Sherwood and Zhombe. We planted these churches while we were based at Kwekwe Life Centre in West End. While in Kwekwe we got an challenge to build a school in Southwood, a surbub of Kwekwe. This was going to be the first Christian School in Kwekwe. It was real challenge as we had NO funding and support from any where except the local church members.

While we where in the mix of all this in Kwekwe, planting churches, building a school, we got a call to come and work in the UK. This was primarily to serve the Christians who had been recruited by the Nursing Industry and Engineering Industry in the UK.

We founded ILC Wolverhampton, which has now extended to Leicester, Bournemouth, and Liverpool. We now have a missions department which reaches out to other nations with the message of God’s Love. We consider ourselves privileged to be the conduits of God’s love to our generation.
